Home trash provides the perfect breeding grounds for insects like ants and cockroaches. Make sure all your bins have tightly fitted lids and are well lined with disposable material to avoid any spills into the bin itself. Dispose of rubbish regularly especially kitchen garbage since its advisable not to keep it overnight. Also wash bins and covers regularly to cater for any spills that may breed pests.
Some pests are peculiar to greenery. If you keep a garden, keep your plants well-trimmed and your lawns mowed. Your mower and shears should be put to good use if you want to prevent a pest invasion.
