A beautiful garden is one of the most welcoming things every home can boast of and if you do not have one,…
There has been a lot of talk about climate change, global warming and energy crises, and the need to construct properties that are sustainable to address such concerns. Green Homes are new developers in Ghana with the aim of constructing properties which will help mitigate against the current challenges facing the environment.
Jumia House Ghana (LG) spoke to Kaare Bakken, Managing Director of Green Homes, who provided information on the company’s current properties and their suitability for the climate here in Ghana.
LG: Why Green Homes? Is it because you are building something sustainable?
GH: We have a vision to build homes with ‘green standards’. This means we are taking care of future standards when it comes to environmental concerns. We want to offer unique plots with more space focusing on building green, charming and serene environment for the whole residential area.
LG: What is your target market?
GH: We are searching for clients who want to invest, and live in big quality homes. Although we have our prices, we are also willing to negotiate with our customers.
LG: Where are your properties located?
GH: Green Homes is located in Community 24 with direct access to the Tema-Accra Motorway through a new roundabout which is yet to be constructed. It is unique because it is between Accra and Tema. This is a good location because it will link residents to both Accra and Tema.
We are building 25 houses and 6 apartments within our development and to foster communal living, we are building club houses, tennis/ basketball court, gyms, swimming pools etc.
LG: What is the future of Green Homes?
GH: We believe the project will be success. Depending on how the phase goes, we will think of expanding.
