Do you feel like your old fridge takes up space in your house? You probably walk past it every morning on the veranda. You have probably even considered selling, disposing or recycling it.

  1. Bookshelf: An old refrigerator can make an excellent bookshelf. Say goodbye to dusty novels, books, music records, and albums.
  2. Pet house:  Got a furry pet? Why go through the hustle of buying a pet house? That dusty old fridge can serve as a cozy space for your pet. Simply take off the door, lay the fridge on its side and get a pet cushion as bedding for your pet. Your pet is going to love you more.
  3. Closet: How about converting that abandoned refrigerator into a closet for your clothes and shoes? I find it easier to keep my shoes in an old refrigerator, this way I am at peace that they are not collecting dust under my bed or at my door or outside at the corridor. The trays serve as layers for different kinds of clothing and you don’t even need to take out the refrigerator door. Clean the refrigerator thoroughly, use baking soda or ground oats to absorb any form of odor from the refrigerator, Line the fridge drawers or trays with old newspaper and you have yourself a cute closet.
  4. TV stand/CD storage: So you just bought that LCD and you are wondering where to place it. Your old refrigerator will make a perfect stand for your TV as well as double as a storage unit for you game consoles and DVD.
  5. Art piece: Are you an artist or an art lover? Your refrigerator can be your canvas. Repaint, redecorate and redesign your old refrigerator into a stunning piece of art.
