Meqasa.com’s 6th Home and Property Fair under the theme ‘’Real Estate Investment and Job Opportunities in Ghana: Prospects and Challenges’’ was held over the weekend, 5th and 6th August, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

Agents, investors, stakeholders and real estate enthusiasts visited the booths of exhibitors at the Meqasa Home and Property Fair over the course of the two-day event and were able to explore new opportunities and discuss potential collaborations.

In addition to the event’s title sponsor Goldkey Properties, platinum sponsors Vaal Real Estate, Swami India Ghana Ltd, and Clifton Homes, other exhibitors included Signum Development, Indigo Homes, Shandonia Properties, Appolonia City, Eden Heights, TDC Ltd., Landmark Homes, Euro World International, Tribus Pay, Quao Realty, Stanbic Bank, Golden Coast Developers and Special Gardens.

The CEO of meqasa.com, Mr. Kelvin Nyame, set the ball rolling for the 6th edition of the Meqasa Home and Property Fair by briefly explaining how the Meqasa Home and Property Fair started and the inspiration behind it. Thanking all exhibitors for partnering with us this year, the company’s co-founder officially announced the tenth anniversary of meqasa.com. Mr. Nyame expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their continuous support throughout the years, highlighting the growth and success Meqasa has achieved since its inception. He emphasised that the 6th edition of the Meqasa Home and Property Fair would be a celebration of both Meqasa’s milestone anniversary and the thriving real estate industry in Ghana.

Taking the stage after was the Director of Policy Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring, and Evaluation, Mr. Benard Ayensu, who read a speech on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Works and Housing of Ghana. He gave meqasa.com high praise for the work put into planning a housing fair that is essential to the growth of the nation’s real estate market.

As always, a major side attraction at home and property fairs organised by meqasa.com are the educational and always insightful seminars and it was evident many participants were looking forward to these as they trooped in to fill seats. Speaking at the seminar for day 1, Madame Ana Fernandes Arkutu, a luxury real estate agent with over 17 years of experience, took attendees through ‘’5 Lucrative Investment Opportunities With Ghana’s Real Estate Market.” According to her, beachfront and mountain view lands, holiday destinations, and luxury properties are good locations for investment, adding that the right understanding of the business systems in Ghana will help in making those decisions.

On Day 2, Dr. Stephen Debrah-Ablormeti, C.E.O of CPL developers, took over with a masterclass on “10 Job Opportunities and Emerging Markets Within the Ghanaian Real Estate Sector.” Participants were eager to gain a thorough understanding of the various job opportunities available, and this sparked their interest in discovering new opportunities within the Ghanaian Real Estate market.

Media sponsors Asaase Radio conducted interviews with the exhibitors, and DKB, one of the MCs at the Meqasa Home and Property Fair, also kept everyone entertained on Sunday with some prop comedy and a dance-off between mascots and a few exhibitors. Children present weren’t left out of the fun as they enjoyed cotton candy, the bouncy castle, and playing with mascots. There’s no doubt that it was a fun time for all involved.

Some exhibitors expressed concerns about the low patronage of the Meqasa Home and Property Fair this year on the first day, but were pleased about the high quality of property seekers who passed through. They also expressed hope that subsequent editions would pick up the pace. They believed that the perceived low patronage was due to various factors such as poor weather and competing events. They, however, expressed confidence next year’s edition would attract a larger audience.

Meqasa.com would like to sincerely thank all our sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and attendees who graced the 6th edition. Their support and contribution played a vital role in making the event a success. We are grateful for their continued partnership and look forward to even more fruitful collaborations in the future.

Meqasa.com remains Ghana’s leading property website, with over 70 thousand listings across the country and over 2.4 million yearly website visits from property seekers all over the world, as the most trusted source for property deals and real estate information.
