This is a UCC student portal manual to find admission list information, distance education information, fees information, admission portal information and other relevant answers and solutions about UCC. This is also an online frequently asked questions about the University of Cape Coast.

The University of Cape Coast(UCC),  was established in 1962 for the purpose of training graduate teachers to fulfil the higher education teaching techniques of second cycle institutions in the country.

Admission Information: Before you apply to UCC, You must have the requirement and supported documents needed for your chosen programme.  Postgraduate students will have to pass the academic and entry level requirements. Application date starts from January and Ends on April every academic year.

Undergraduate Studies: Undergraduates programmes are offered as opportunities to adults, international students and high school scholars to earn a bachelors degree in their chosen field from the University’s programmes.

Graduate Studies: Graduate studies programme has over 200 postgraduate programmes with about 5000 students on regular, distance and sandwich modes. The master’s degree programmes have been designed competitively to meet both national and international demands per curriculum. Distance programmes as named CoDE: College of Distance Education which currently runs programmes in education and business to award diploma, post-diploma, and master’s degree.

  • Student View Personal Information

    A student can view personal information and update them like date of birth, student identification number and other student identification and personal information. To be able to view this information, you must log on with your registration number and password.

  • Student can view their statement of Result (portal.ucc.edu.gh sign in)

    The University works a blend of Continuous Assessment and End-of-Semester examination framework with the accompanying weightings: The Continuous Assessment is 40% and the End-of-Semester examination framework is 60%. You can view this information after you have been authenticated at the websites’ portal. You can check more of the grading system here: https://ucc.edu.gh/grading-system. Fees Schedule (Admission into First Degree Regular) Programmes for the 2017/2018 Academic Year)

Student Fees: The fee payment schedule has been constituted by the establishment, instructing students to pay fees before the beginning of a new academic year.

Fees approved at the University consist of the academic facility user fees, residential facility fees and miscellaneous charges.
The following is the policy for the fee payment.

  • Fees are paid to any of the various ucc sales centres across the country.
  •  (a)  Cashier’s Office, University of Cape Coast (Mode of payment – CASH)(b)  Ghana Post Offices at the Regional Capitals – (Mode of payment – POSTAL ORDER)(c)  University  of Cape Coast – Accra Office, Tesano – Accra (Mode of payment – CASH)(d)  Kumasi Workers’ College, Kumasi (Mode of payment – CASH)(e)  I-J Consult, Kasoa – Nyanyano Road, Near Witty Kids Int. The deadlines for the sale of Application scratch cards and the submission of completed application forms are Friday, 28th April, 2017 and Friday, 5th May, 2017 respectively.
