Meqasa.com held its first housing fair in June of 2017, dubbed “The Meqasa Dream Homes Expo ’17“, focusing on mortgage services, housing options, and home improvement solutions. This was after the acquisition of Jumia House, Meqasa’s largest competitor at the time.
The Meqasa Property Expo was a resounding success, drawing in tens of thousands of visitors who were eager to explore the latest trends and innovations in the housing market. The event showcased a wide range of properties, from luxurious villas to affordable apartments, and provided attendees with the opportunity to connect with industry experts and get valuable insights into the market. The business lounge proved to be a popular feature, with investors and investees alike taking advantage of the space to discuss potential deals and collaborations.
Overall, the fair cemented Meqasa’s position as a leading p layer in the real estate industry and demonstrated its commitment to providing customers with exceptional service both online and offline.
Following the successes of the first two housing fairs in 2017 and 2018, it rebranded to become the Meqasa Home and Property Fair in 2019.
In that year, two exhibitions were held in April and November. The reason? To keep up with the high demand and the increased interest of property seekers in acquiring property.
Both chalked their successes and soon it was time to prepare for the next housing fair in the first quarter of 2020 but just as they were gearing up to host the iconic fair, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and the Meqasa team, with their trademark tradition of innovation, pivoted and hosted the fair completely online in a virtual fashion. The first of such in Ghana!
In 2020, Meqasa held its housing fair online because of the corona virus which was the reason for which the government cancelled outdoor events for a period including March. The event also had online presentations (webinars) with experts interacting with participants.
Meqasa’s decision to launch an online housing fair in response to the pandemic was a smart move because it allowed them to continue providing valuable information and opportunities to potential homebuyers and investors in spite of the restrictions on outdoor events. The fact that this was the first online housing fair in Ghana made it even more significant, as it demonstrated Meqasa’s commitment to innovation and adapting to changing circumstances. The participation of numerous developers and speakers also added value to the event, giving attendees access to a wide range of expertise and perspectives. After a one-year absence, the Meqasa Home and Property Fair returned in 2022 with 40 property owners and developers exhibiting and over 600 attendees, all hosted for the first time at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel. It could be said that the feedback from both exhibitors and attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Once again, the 2022 Meqasa Home and Property Fair was a smashing success, leaving both exhibitors and attendees excited for what’s to come in the future of real estate.
The 2023 edition of the Meqasa Home and Property Fair is not just about showcasing the latest in real estate trends, it’s also about empowering attendees with knowledge on career opportunities and investment options. With a variety of speakers and exhibitors, visitors can expect to gain valuable insights into the industry. That’s not all: there are also prizes up for grabs along with some other exciting surprises in store. Don’t miss out on this chance to network with like-minded individuals and discover new possibilities in the world of real estate while getting exposure to the finest real estate available in Ghana.
