TGIF Accra: Labone

It’s another Friday and your favorite property portal, Jumia House presents you with a few hangouts in Labone to spice up your weekend.

Thank God It’s Friday! After a hard week’s work, we all look to the time when we can simply relax and bask in all the glorious moments with friends and family. Some like it loud, others like it serene. Some will be cheering excitingly for their heroes on the football pitch while others will be cursing the day they supported their team.

Whatever the occasion, Labone is one of those exciting neighborhoods in Accra you can expect fireworks – or serenity, depending on your mood. Your favorite property portal, Jumia House, has come up with a list of the five best hangouts in Labone in no specific ranking.

Le Must

The perfect atmosphere to share with a loved one, Le Must is one of Labone’s and Ghana’s premier restaurant. The eatery has on offer exquisite European cuisine, especially ones that cater to French taste. A number of personalities such as Kofi Annan and Stevie Wonder have passed through and have their names embossed on the door of the restaurant. So whether you are looking for that perfect spot to pop the question or looking forward to a piano-serenaded environment, Le Must is one hangout that ceases to disappoint.

Celsbridge

Definitely the place to bring out the fun in you, Celsbridge is Labone’s epic center for dancing, eating and merry-making. The ‘plub’ offers a variety of meals with their specialty being fried rice and noodles. Entertainment is never lost at Celsbridge and for all those football fans, wannabe dancing stars or those just looking for good food, Celsbridge is an excellent place to visit.

Aunty Munie Wakye

There is no way you could pass through Labone without trying Ghana’s finest wakye joint. Aunty Munie has been in operation for over 20 years. Apart from wakye, Aunty Muni serves local dishes like banku, tuo zafi, omotuo and kenkey. She also serves natural drinks like ‘sobolo.’ If you are planning an event this weekend, don’t forget Aunty Muni takes special orders and she is very flexible to work with.

Chase

Looking to try out some new food for a change? Chase is the right place, serving exquisite sushi, a popular Japanese meal at its restaurant. The great thing about Chase is the fact that the hangout is divided into three sections – an outdoor patio, an indoor restaurant and a lounge. So depending on your mood and how you would want to spend your weekend, Chase is one destination that would help you cherish the weekend to the max.

Bistro 22

Labone’s latest entertainment addition, Bistro 22 is a wonderful place to lounge during the weekend. The hangout has a restaurant and bar which caters for all tastes and some jazz music to entertain and relax guests.
