Key Places To Short Let in Accra This Holiday Season

Christmas is just around the corner and it is time to book your holiday home if you are planning to come to Accra for the festive season. Here is a list of some great places to short let in Accra this holiday period. These suggestions are perfect for people looking for short term furnished accommodation in Ghana.

SHIASHE

Shiashe is one of the best locations in Accra for people who are looking for temporary accommodation. It is only five minutes from the Accra Mall and about 10 to 15 minutes from the Kotoka International Airport. It is also fairly close to some of the best restaurants and cafe’s in the City. A studio apartment at Shiashe may go for as little as GHC 543 if you are looking for modern accommodation with a pool and beautiful landscaped gardens. A one bedroom furnished apartment may be available for about GHC 900

EAST LEGON

East Legon is one of the best-known neighbourhoods in Accra. There is a lot of beautiful architecture in East Legon including places that you can stay for short periods of time this holiday season. You may find a one-bedroom property for rent for GHC 400 right in the heart of East Legon or a 2 bedroom furnished apartment for GHC 816 a night. Similar to Shiashe, East Legon is quite close to the Accra Mall, the Marina mall and several restaurants, bars and clubs. In addition, East Legon has its own eateries and cafe shops that will be available and easily accessible at all hours.

CANTONMENTS

Cantonments is one of the major upscale property locations in Accra. Properties in this area are gorgeous and modern. The American Embassy, the French Embassy and Spanish Embassy amongst others are located at Cantonments. The neighbourhood is quiet and devoid of traffic. You can get a furnished one-bedroom apartment for as low as GHC1,026 a night and a 2 bedroom furnished apartment with 2 bathrooms for about GHC 1,276.

ADENTA

If you’re looking for a place that is a little outside the hustle and bustle of the city while still staying close enough to enjoy quick commutes into town, then Adenta is a great location to find a short let in Accra this holiday season. Property here is also a lot cheaper than what you would find in central parts of Accra. An example is this 1 bedroom apartment for rent at Adenta near the Ritz Junction for GHC 2600 per month.

LABONE

Labone is only a short distance from Cantonments. It is also considered one of the nicer neighbourhoods in Accra. It is very close to several beaches in Accra including the Labadi beach, Sandbox and Tawala. There are a lot of nice restaurants in Labone as well as clothing boutiques, banks and Ice cream parlours. The area is considered expat-friendly and there are often a lot of activities for non-residents in this part of the City. You can find a one-bedroom furnished apartment for rent for about GHC 816 or  3 bedroom furnished property for GHC 1,785.

OSU

Osu is one of the most popular places in Accra. It is constantly busy and filled with activity both from locals and foreign visitors. Osu is a great place in Ghana for shopping and immersing yourself in deep Ghanaian culture. There are several African themed shops littering the streets of Osu during the day and an active night scene in the evenings. Accommodation for short lets here ranges from moderate to fairly steep because of high demand. This 2 bedroom furnished apartment for instance is going for GHC 1,375 a night.
