Land for sale by Rockhill Properties Limited on Meqasa.com
Over 200 acres of state land that was acquired by the government of Ghana some years ago, has been released to the La Traditional Council. The news was met with joy from the Coalition of La Associations (COLA) after years of petitioning and protests from COLA and other groups and community members in La.

Mr. Oscar Nii Odoi Glover, who is the president of COLA, highlighted some of the areas where the lands were released. The areas are as follows:
The military had proposed to acquire these lands and hence they became state lands but that acquisition never happened. Mr Oscar Nii Odoi Glover, commended the government for heading to the plea of the people. He was particularly grateful to the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo for facilitating the process.
The intention for the released lands is to enable the communities within which they belong to undertake various developmental projects and activities to improve the livelihood of the youth as well as future generations.

The COLA has instructed the portions of land that have been released to be handed over to the Stool within the localities. COLA will continue its efforts to fight against any unauthorized land grabbing in Ghana.
