The curtains have come down on the much anticipated Meqasa Home and Property Fair, 2023. The 2-day event which saw tens of Ghana’s top Real Estate developers, home loan specialists, and other ancillary service providers connecting with hundreds of home seekers, has once again gone down in history as a successful and pivotal avenue in advancing the real estate industry and changing the face of home search and home ownership in the country.

The event held on the 5th and 6th of August, 2023 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, saw the display of diverse unique developers and developments, innovative projects; enlightening and interactive masterclasses in the form of seminars; expert advice on land ownership, mortgage and loans; as well as great networking opportunities. In attendance were varied participants including prospective home buyers, investors, young ambitious real estate prospects, agents, etc.

Expressing his utmost gratitude to the sponsors of the event in his opening speech, the CEO of Meqasa, Kelvin Nyame, expressed his thanks to Goldkey Properties for their staunch support over the years. Reading a speech on behalf of Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Works and Housing to open the event, was the Director for Policy Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Benard Ayensu. He commended meqasa.com highly for the effort put in organising a housing fair that plays a pivotal role in pushing the real estate sector in the country. He took the opportunity to touch on plans, both in the pipeline and in current execution, by the government in ensuring that the sector continues to thrive as a major contributor to the economy of Ghana.

Renowned experts within the Real Estate space took participants through masterclasses that were aimed at arming them with knowledge and insights to take advantage of investment and job opportunities within. CEO of Ana Arkutu Consult, Ana Arkutu, shared insights on various lucrative investment options within the real estate space. She, specially, highlighted profitable options out of Accra as she is a great believer in the many prospects other cities aside Accra have to offer.

CEO of the CPL Group, Dr. Ing. Stephen Debrah Ablormeti, also taking the stage on the second day, pointed participants in the direction of some great job opportunities and emerging markets within the sector. His presentation, interwoven with expert advice, ended with an emphasis on self-training and constant growth.

“When you give yourself to training, you’ll become the best.” he said.

 The children’s arena was a great side attraction for children who accompanied their parents to the fair. With a ball pit filled with play balls for them to jump and play in, mascots that entertained both adults and children alike, and a delectable cotton candy stand that more adults rather than kids took advantage of, there was a lot of fun to be had!
