Decorating a rental is kind of tricky mostly because you can’t do anything permanent. We have five tips and tricks to make that rental home or apartment feel like home. Here they are:

1. Wallpaper

   
   Don’t worry, it’s 2018 and we have something called self-adhesive removable wallpaper. With this, you can make your rental look like home without worrying that you are ruining the walls and could lose your security deposit. The control is yours, you can go crazy with the wallpaper or be subtle. Have fun!

2. Removeable Kitchen Countertops

   
   Just like the adhesive wallpaper, there is also adhesive paper for kitchen countertops and walls. They come in various colours and patterns and are a great way to add life to that boring looking kitchen. Best part? It’s easy to peel off and clean when your rent expires.

3. Invest in Floor Rugs

   
   Rugs complete the look of a room and tie everything together. Most people say it’s the facelift of the home. If your rental comes with carpeted floors you can still get rugs on the floor, absolutely nothing wrong with is.

4. Colour

5. Statement Pieces

   
   Add some throw blankets and pillows that have texture and colour to a room and you have an instant facelift. This can be your go-to if you are on a budget. You can DIY with some old things in your home.
