How to Make Money from a Parcel of Land – with Less Effort

Do you own vacant land? Are you wondering how you can make money without lifting a finger? It is not an impossible dream; there are so many ways that you can make money from that piece of land without doing so much work. Here are some of the most creative ways of making money without much so much effort.

Leasing

You have purchased a parcel of land and probably wondering what you can do with it before you putting a property on it. You can lease the property out for a number of years. It is a well-known fact that most lands in Ghana are leased out for 99 years. Do not waste those years by allowing the land lie idle. You can also lease it for a few years to make some money while you plan on what you would do with it in the long term. if the property is located in Accra, it is much easier because people are always in need of space to put up temporary structures. Lease the property.

Farming

Again, if you are not interested in farming, you can give the land to anyone who would want to cultivate the land temporarily. There are other ways of making good use of the land. You can farm on the land even if you do not want to do it by yourself, you can give the land out to anyone interested. Common crops that do require much to so much attention are maize, cassava and vegetables. They depend on the climate to support their cultivation.

Event Centre

This is very important especially if the land is located here Accra where there is always demand for space for events – funerals, wedding receptions and other programmes. If you do not want to manage the property yourself, you can always hand it over to someone who can take care of it.

Storage Space

The parcel of land can be given to individuals who need space to keep items like cars, farm produce etc. The land can be used for such purposes to get some money.

Parking Space

This is one way of making money from that bare land. Transform the dusty area with gravels to attract more people to park their cars on your space. You can charge them according to the duration that the car is left on the park.
