During emergencies, there are some emergency phone numbers that you absolutely need to remember. Here are some essential contact information you need to have at your fingertips.

  1. Electricity Company Of Ghana (ECG)

The Electricity Company of Ghana are responsible for providing quality, reliable and safe electricity service to support the economic growth and development of Ghana.

For any complaints on electricity in your home, call ECG on 0302.611.611

  1. Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL)

Ghana Water Company Limited is a utility company fully owned by the state. The company is responsible for potable water supply to all urban commiunities.

Contact the nation’s water utility provider on 0302.666.7817 

  1. Ghana Police Service

The Ghana Police Service exists to deliver services in Crime Prevention Detection, Apprehension and Prosecution of offenders consistent with the expectations of Ghana stakeholders for maximum protection, safe, secure and peaceful communities.

The police is your friend. Should the need arise make sure you dial 191

  1. Ghana Fire Service:

The functions of the Ghana National Fire Service is to heighten the role of the individual in the prevention of fires, coordinate and advise on the training of personnel in the fire fighting and offer rescue and evacuation services to those trapped by fire or in other emergency situatiions.

For any emergency involving the need for an ambulance call 193

  1. National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO)

NADMO seeks to enhance the capacity of society to prevent and manage disasters and to improve the livelihood of the poor and vulnerable in rural communities through effective disaster management, social mobilisation and employment generation.
