We have all enjoyed the fireworks, countdowns, and some used this holiday season to observe religious traditions and crossover services….
Since January 2011, Clifton Homes have rapidly grown into one of the fastest residential property developers in the country. With a goal of providing a unique blend of quality, location and value, the developer has repeatedly set competitive prices for designer homes in Accra’s most prestigious areas.
“We’ve been very fortunate to have such a loyal client base,” says CEO and founder George Moffet. “Almost 90 percent of our clients are local Ghanaian professionals who know Accra inside-out and recognize that our properties represent great value and quality for the prime locations in which they are located. We‘re extremely grateful for all the support we’ve received for our vision to positively evolve the real estate landscape of the city.”
Since its commencement, Clifton Homes has completed five developments in Accra, with two still under construction at Tetteh Quarshie (e.g The Gallery) and Cantonments (e.g Embassy Gardens). These projects have created over 500 jobs in the local economy and supported over 200 local businesses via procurement of materials and services.
Over the years, Clifton real estate has specialized in communal apartment and townhouse developments, with integrated utilities and leisure facilities, expanding the choices for homebuyers and introducing a broader variety of property styles and payment plans into the market. Clifton Homes was the first major developer in Accra to incorporate studios into their communal developments.
They have also broadened the options for renters by providing homes at very competitive prices. These properties have an average rental yield of 10 to 15 percent annually. Other factors which make Clifton Homes attractive to professional tenants and corporate rental markets are their affordable rents, beautiful location and executive-level interiors. According to Head of Lettings, Faata Adams: “In 2015, we saw a 100 percent renewal rate from existing tenants at one of our Tetteh Quarshie developments, which is a great vote of confidence from our residents.”
In 2015, Clifton Homes Ghana was judged by the International Property Awards as Best Apartments – Africa. George Moffet remarks: “2015 was a great year for Clifton Homes but 2016 will be just as busy, with one landmark project completing and another commencing construction. Beyond that, we have a firm five year pipeline, so our long term strategy is in place,” the CEO continued. “Regardless of location, all of our new ventures will have the same core principle at heart – to provide the homeowner with the best combination of value and quality in central Accra.”
