The 7th edition of the Meqasa Home & Property Fair has come to a successful conclusion. The Fair, held on the 2nd and 3rd of November, 2024 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, attracted hundreds of attendees, including prospective home owners, real estate investors, and industry professionals, all eager to explore the latest opportunities in the housing market.
The very well attended Meqasa Home & Property Fair showcased an impressive lineup of exhibitors, featuring prominent real estate developers, mortgage lenders, legal advisory service providers and home improvement service providers. Participants had the chance to engage with experts, discover a wide range of properties, and attend informative seminars.
CEO of Meqasa, Kelvin Nyame, expressed his utmost gratitude to the sponsors of the event in his opening speech, saying thank you to Goldkey Properties for their unwavering support over the years and, especially, for being the Fair’s headline sponsor for multiple years running. He also expressed his gratitude to household name, Clifton Homes, for their partnership with the Fair and their constant business with the brand. Kelvin also hinted in his speech that the Meqasa Home and Property Fair may be expanding soon to the United States in a bid to extend value to diasporans and help meet their housing needs.
Honouring the Meqasa Home & Property Fair, 2024, were the Chief Director of Works and Housing, Rev Stephen Yaw Osei, and President of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), Mr. Ebo Bonful, who highlighted the essence of Public and Private Partnerships in achieving accessible Housing for all.
Leading attendees in enlightening seminars were some industry experts. CEO of IVI Properties, Maurice Aouad, taught a session on selecting the right property for “AirBnb”/short-let investment. The well attended session covered some practical nuggets on running an Airbnb and making the utmost profit from your investment. The session which touched on both the hard and soft factors of the business, was a huge success as many followed up with lots of questions.
Also leading a session on Sunday afternoon was real estate Lawyer, Emmanuel Mate-Kole, who shed light on all due diligence to take when buying a land from another party. The session, which was highly patronised and replete with many concerns and questions to the lawyer on land issues, was described by attendees as very informative and revealing.
The Fair ended on a high note when some lucky winners won fantastic prizes from Goldkey Properties’ much publicised raffle, including an unbelievable all expense paid trip to Dubai. The winner, Sekyina, who was visibly shaking whilst receiving her coupon for her prize told the audience
“I am lost for words!”
Attendees at the fair praised Meqasa for putting together what they described as a very well organised event.
The Meqasa Home and Property Fair was a huge success, exceeding expectations of the organisers. This event was proudly sponsored by Goldkey Properties, Clifton Homes, and partnered by Citi Fm and Channel One TV.
